Do you have our wedding date available?
Please contact us as soon as possible and we can check our availability on your preferred date.
Will the venue be exclusively ours?
Yes, Cefn Tilla Court will be exclusively yours for the day or weekend.
How do I book Cefn Tilla Court as my wedding venue?
To secure your wedding date we will require a deposit of 25% deposit and signed contract
What is your cancellation policy?
The deposit is non refundable
Is Cefn Tilla Court licensed for ceremonies?
Yes. The Great Hall is licensed for weddings up to 90 people.
What local authority do you come under and how do we contact the registrar?
Our local authority is Monmouthshire. You can contact the registrar by calling 01873 735435. For further information, click here.
THE WEDDING RECEPTION:
Will the reception be held in the house?
The wedding breakfast will be held in a marquee in the rear courtyard
Do we need to hire in tables and chairs?
No, we have round tables and silver chiavari chairs to seat up to 200 people.
Do you have a list of recommended suppliers?
Yes we have 3 recommended caterers
What time can we arrive at Cefn Tilla Court on the morning of our wedding day?
You can arrive anytime from 8.00 am
Can we drop anything off the day before the wedding?
Yes no problem, please just let us know in advance
Do you allow children at Cefn Tilla Court?
Yes but we have a Lilly pond which is a beautiful feature, but a hazard with young children
Do you have high chairs we can use?
What time do we have to finish the wedding party?
We have no near neighbours so we are flexible
Can we decorate the marquee?
Yes, you can have access in the days leading to the event for decoration
Can we have a long top table?
Yes, we have Lord Raglans beautiful Elm table that can be used for the top table.
Can my photographer come to Cefn Tilla before our wedding to have a look around?
Yes of course
Are we allowed fireworks or sparklers?
Yes we are happy with Fireworks, it has worked well at the front of the house.
Can we have candles in The Great Hall or marquee?
We would rather not due to HSE
Are we allowed to have confetti or rose petals?
We would rather rose petals
Do you provide in-house catering?
We don’t have in-house caterers. We have all the facilities available for you to choose which caterers you would like at your wedding, giving you completely freedom and flexibility about what you eat. We can of course recommend caterers if you require.
Can we bring our own wine?
We are the licensee and therefore we provide all alcohol, we are extremely flexible and can cater for your requirements
Can we taste the wine before we select it?
Yes of course
Do you have a bridal suite?
We have The Boudoir which is our signature, luxury suite on the middle floor of our 17th Century Welsh country house.
How many people can stay overnight at Cefn Tilla Court?
- The Courtyard Apartment sleeps 3- 4
- The Coach House sleeps 4
- Cecile’s Flat sleeps 2
- The Stables sleeps 8 (including bunks)
- The Manor House sleeps 10
- The Luxury Shepherd Hut sleeps 2

Do you provide breakfast?
We can provide breakfast in The Great Hall for all guests “for the morning after” at an extra cost
What time is check-in and check-out?
We are flexible, but we suggest 12.30 check out
Do you have disabled access at Cefn Tilla Court?
The Stables is Ground floor with a small ramp, wide doors with Ground floor bedroom with ensuite wet room
How many cars does the car park hold and can guests leave cars overnight?
We are fine for guests to leave cars over night, we have 120 acres of parkland, so no shortage of parking!
